It's heartening to see how much Singapore has evolved over the past 53 years.
Our forefathers' efforts have laid the foundation to the success of this little red dot, as we grew
from a small fishing village to become the global city we are today. While we enjoy the fruits of labor
left behind by our forefathers, Singapore is still plagued with issues that have yet to be addressed.
In order for Singapore to sustain its dominance in the region and even in the world, it is important
for us to recognise and tackle these challenges.
